The term bucket chairs is hard explain in one sentence as it means different things to different people. In fact you can get many different styles of bucket chairs. Some people refer to them as tub chairs where others say that a tub chair is definitely not a bucket chair.
At the risk of alienating a few of my visitors I will talk about both tub and bucket chairs on this website.
Why bucket chairs? Well they are cool and funky chairs. You find a more ‘cool chair’ than a bucket chair.
Probably the most common and sought after are leather bucket chairs. I will be displaying a number of pictures of these in my next post so that you can see how great they are. They are my favourite!
They don’t just look good… no… they are very comfortable too. Young and old a like do enjoy the experience of sitting in them. Having said that they are the best chairs for the elderly!
Bucket chairs don’t just come in leather. You can get them with plastic seating and metal legs. These are designed in such a way which means that they can be stacked and stored away. You can get away with stacking a large number on top of easy other.
Another great advantage of a plastic bucket chair is how practical they are for keeping clean. You can wipe clean fast which if you have little children around the home can be very useful.
Bucket chairs can be expensive, especially a leather bucket chair but in my opinion they are worth the price. They look great, are comfy and you can always change them by adding a bucket chair slipcover. You are paying for their appearance more than anything.

Where is the best place to buy a cheap bucket chair? Well like most things these days you can buy online or visit a high street store or retailer. The advantage of buying online is that the price is cheaper. The disadvantage is that you might not get free delivery and have to wait.
Buying from a shop means that you often get to try out the bucket chairs beforehand. This is great because you get to see how comfy they are and you get to imagine them in your house. You do though, generally, pay more than you would on the internet.
There are two ways around this. Either you wait for the sales or you can find the bucket chair that you want by visiting the store and then purchase online when you get home. That is what I like to do.
